Multi Timepiece Tutorial
Using Multi Timepiece to Conserve Battery Power
Since the Multi Timepiece does not use GPS or communication function, less battery power is required.
Multi Timepiece is a mode that automatically exits Wear OS and displays the monochrome LCD only.
Note that in addition to not being able to use color display, the following functions cannot be used while in the Multi Timepiece mode: notifications and other functions that perform data communication, functions that display maps, and functions that acquire GPS location information.
Ways to Use Multi Timepiece
To limit functionality while sleeping
To display the current time only while working in order to comply with office rules or in consideration of those around you
To display the current time only in order to minimize battery power consumption and allows multiple days between charges
Using Multi Timepiece
On the Multi Timepiece screen, select "Outdoor Style" or "Daily Style" and then tap "Start".
[Outdoor Style]
This screen style is best while you are enjoying outdoor activities. It shows current time, altitude, and barometric pressure.
The ring around the periphery of the face acts as a compass.
[Daily Style]
This screen style is for daily life activities. In addition to the current time, this screen style also shows the battery level in the lower display segment.
You can also configure a setting to replace the battery level with a step count value.
- • Note that displaying the step count consumes more power than the battery level.
Multi Timepiece Operations
This section explains how to perform operations while the monochrome display is shown.
Exiting Multi Timepiece
Long-press the power (middle) button for at least two seconds.
This exits Multi Timepiece. After a short while, Wear OS by Google™ will start up.
Turning On the Backlight
Short-press the power (middle) button. Note that holding down the button for too long will exit Multi Timepiece.
This will turn on the backlight for a few seconds.
Showing and Hiding the Compass Indicator
Press the lower button one to toggle the compass indicator between show and hide.
Calibrating the Altitude and/or Barometric Pressure Value (Outdoor Style)
While the Outdoor Style screen is displayed, long-press the upper button for at least two seconds.
This will cause the altitude value in the lower display segment to flash. This indicates that the altitude value is selected for calibration.
Pressing the upper button will raise the flashing altitude value. Pressing the lower button will lower the value.
After the altitude is set to the value you want (and still flashing), long press the upper button again for at least two seconds.
This will change the flashing value in the lower display segment to the barometric pressure value.
Pressing the upper button will raise the flashing barometric pressure value. Pressing the lower button will lower the value.
After the barometric pressure is set to the value you want, long press the upper button again for at least two seconds to exit value setting and return to the normal display.
