Stopwatch
The stopwatch measures elapsed time in units of 1/100 second up to 23 hours, 59 minutes, 59.99 seconds (24 hours). When the maximum timing limit is reached, elapsed time returns to 0 and timing continues from there.

Starting Time Measurement Directly from the Timekeeping Mode
If the stopwatch is reset to all zeros, performing the operation below in the Timekeeping Mode immediately starts a stopwatch elapsed time measurement operation.

In the Timekeeping Mode, press (D).
This enters the Stopwatch Mode.
What happens when you perform the above step depends on the current status of the stopwatch timing operation as described below.
When the stopwatch is reset to all zeros
A new elapsed time measurement operation will start. (One Press Start from the Timekeeping Mode)
When a previous measurement operation is paused
The measurement operation remains paused and does not restart.
When an ongoing measurement is in progress*
The measurement operation will continue.
An ongoing elapsed time operation continues even if you switch from the Stopwatch Mode to another mode.
Measuring Elapsed Time

Enter the Stopwatch Mode.

Use the operations below to measure elapsed time.

Press (B) to reset the stopwatch to all zeros.


Measuring a Split Time

Enter the Stopwatch Mode.

Use the operations below to measure elapsed time.

Press (B) to reset the stopwatch to all zeros.
Pressing (B) displays the elapsed time from the start of a race up to the point when you pressed the button (split time).


Timing the First and Second Place Finishers

Enter the Stopwatch Mode.

Use the operations below to measure elapsed time.

Press (B) to reset the measurement time to all zeros.

Displays the time of the second finisher.

Using the Target Time Alert
Overview
You can specify a target time in 1-minute increments up to 24 hours.
The watch beeps for 10 seconds when the stopwatch measurement time reaches the target time.
Specifying a Target Time

While the stopwatch elapsed time is reset to all zeros, hold (A) for at least two seconds. Release the button when the hours digits start to flash.

Use (B) and (D) to change the target time hour setting.

Press (C).

Use (B) and (D) to change the target time minute setting.

Press (C).

Press (D) to toggle the target time alert between enabled and disabled.

Press (A) to exit the setting screen.

Holding down (B) or (D) scrolls through settings at high speed.
Setting a start time of [0:00] performs a countdown of 24 hours.



Measuring Elapsed Time with the Target Time Function
You can perform the same elapsed time operations as those described in the sections below.
Starting an elapsed time operation will cause [TGT] to flash on the display.
An alert will sound for 10 seconds to let you know when the elapsed time operation reaches a target time you set.
Next, [TGT] disappears from the display.

The screen changes to show the approximate elapsed time (in minutes) compared to the target time.
Note
[TGT] will appear if you stop time measurement while there is one or more target time remaining.
Stopping the Target Time Alert
While the target time alert is sounding, press any button to stop it.
Note
Pressing (B) or (D) to stop the target time alert also starts a stopwatch elapsed time measurement operation.
Disabling the Target Time Function

While the stopwatch elapsed time is reset to all zeros, hold (A) for at least two seconds. Release the button when the hours digits start to flash.

Press (C) twice.

Use (D) to select [OFF].

Press (A) to complete the setting operation.

This causes [On] or [OFF] to flash on the display.
