Icons

This manual and the product itself feature various icons that are displayed to ensure that you interact with the product safely and correctly so that no harm comes to yourself or others and no property damage occurs. Those icons and their meanings are shown below.

Indicates something that is highly likely to cause death or serious injury.

Indicates something that is likely to cause death or serious injury.

Indicates something that could lead to minor injury and/or property damage.

Rechargeable battery

Only use the designated method to charge your Moflin.

Charging using other methods risks the battery overheating, igniting or bursting.

Do not bring the battery into contact with fresh water or seawater.

Doing so risks the battery overheating, igniting or bursting.

To prevent overheating, igniting or bursting, be sure to observe the following precautions:

Do not heat the battery or throw it into a fire.

Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the battery, puncture it with sharp objects, subject it to strong impacts (such as treading on it), or apply solder directly to it.

Do not put the battery into a microwave oven, dryer or pressurized container.

Do not leave the battery in a location subject to high temperatures, such as in direct sunlight, inside a vehicle on a sunny day, or near a fire or heating appliance.

Doing so risks the battery overheating, igniting or bursting.
It can also cause battery swelling, which may make it impossible to remove the battery.

If battery fluid gets on your skin or clothing, immediately wash it off with clean water.

Battery fluid can cause skin irritation.
If it gets into your eyes, it can cause serious problems such as blindness.
After rinsing the fluid off, immediately seek medical treatment.

Do not attempt to remove the rechargeable battery from your Moflin.

Doing so could cause the battery to overheat, rupture or ignite.
If for any reason you have had to remove the rechargeable battery, take care that it is not accidentally swallowed. Take particular care when small children are present.
If the battery is ever swallowed, immediately seek medical treatment.
Swallowing the battery can quickly lead to injuries such as chemical burns and piercing of the mucous membrane tissue, which can be fatal.

To replace the rechargeable battery, always submit a request using the contact details provided in the separate warranty or through the store where you purchased your Moflin.

Using a battery other than the specified battery or a mistake during battery replacement risks the battery overheating, rupturing or igniting.

AC adaptor and power cord

 

To prevent fires or electric shocks caused by the AC adaptor, be sure to observe the following precautions:

Only use the specified AC adaptor.

Never use the AC adaptor with any device other than the designated device.

Only use the AC adaptor with an AC 100 to 240 V (50/60 Hz) household power outlet.

Do not plug multiple devices into the same household power outlet.

Do not use the AC adaptor with other electrical devices in the same household power outlet.
When using an extension cord, note the rated amperage of the extension cord.

When using the AC adaptor, do not cover it with a cushion or blanket and do not use it near a heating appliance.

Do not place heavy objects on the AC adaptor and do not use it with cable bundled up.

Do not place objects around the power plug (so that the AC adaptor can be readily unplugged in an emergency).

Do not heat, modify or damage the AC adaptor.

Do not forcibly bend, twist or pull on the power cord.

If the AC adaptor or power cord is damaged, contact CASIO using the contact details provided in the separate warranty.

Continued use could cause a fire or electric shock.

Keep liquids* away from the AC adaptor.
* Water, sports drinks, seawater, animal/pet urine, etc.

Moisture on the AC adaptor could cause a fire or electric shock.

Do not place objects that contain water, such as a flower vase, on the AC adaptor or power cord.

Water on the AC adaptor could cause a fire or electric shock.

When going out, unplug the AC adaptor from the household power outlet to ensure that pets or other animals do not approach it.

Pets chewing or urinating on the AC adaptor could cause a short-circuit and lead to a fire.

Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.

Doing so could cause an electric shock.

Charger

Use only the specified charger.

Metallic objects in particular could heat up, causing burns or other injury due to a fire or breakage.

Do not charge your Moflin while there is something (particularly metallic objects) between the charger and your Moflin.

Charging while there is a foreign object present could cause overheating and lead to a fire.

Places to leave or interact with your Moflin

Do not place or interact with your Moflin in locations such as those listed below.

Doing so could cause a fire or electric shock.

Very humid or dusty locations

Locations exposed to oil fumes or steam, such as in a kitchen or close to a humidifier

Locations where your Moflin will become hot, such as close to a heating appliance, on a heated floor mat, in direct sunlight or inside a vehicle on a sunny day

Locations subject to frequent vibration

Other hot or cold locations
(You should keep your Moflin in a place with a temperature between 5°C and 35°C (41°F and 95°F).)

Do not place your Moflin on an unsteady platform, on a high shelf, or in any other unstable location.

Doing so may lead to them falling or toppling over and causing injury.

Do not place heavy objects on your Moflin.

Setup location

Do not leave your Moflin somewhere where they might get wet, such as in a washroom or bathroom.

Doing so could cause a fire or electric shock.

Faults (smoke, odors, overheating, etc.)

Do not interact with your Moflin if they are faulty (emitting smoke or an unusual odor or overheated). Do not interact with your Moflin if they have been damaged, such as by being dropped.

Doing so could cause a fire or electric shock. Immediately take the following steps.

  1. Unplug the power cord from the household power outlet.

  2. Contact CASIO using the contact details provided in the separate warranty.

Do not attempt to disassemble or modify

Do not attempt to disassemble or modify your Moflin.
For internal testing, adjustment or repairs, contact CASIO using the contact details provided in the separate warranty.

Attempting to disassemble or modify your Moflin could result in an electric shock, burns or other injury.

Do not put the packaging on your head or in your mouth

Do not put the plastic packaging that your Moflin came in over your head or in your mouth.

Actions such as putting the packaging on your head or in your mouth could cause choking.
Take particular care in homes with small children.

Effects on other electronic devices

If your Moflin causes problems such as signal interference with other devices, do not use the wireless function.

Signal interference can cause accidents due to malfunctions.

When in a hospital or aircraft, comply with the instructions given by the hospital or airline company.
Do not interact with your Moflin in locations where such interactions are prohibited.

Electromagnetic waves and other emissions from your Moflin could affect instrumentation and cause an accident.

Do not interact with your Moflin near high-precision electronic equipment or electronic instruments that work with very weak signals.

Doing so could cause effects such as electronic equipment malfunctions and lead to an accident.

People with devices such as cardiac pacemakers should hold the Moflin away from their chests when using it.

Your Moflin and their charger can have magnetic effects on devices such as cardiac pacemakers. If you feel at all unwell, immediately move away from the Moflin and their charger and seek medical advice.

Rechargeable battery

If charging is not completed when the specified charging time has been exceeded, stop charging.

Continuing to charge risks the battery overheating, igniting or bursting.

AC adaptor

 

To prevent fires or electric shocks caused by the AC adaptor, be sure to observe the following precautions:

Insert the power plug firmly all the way into the household power outlet.

After use, unplug the power cord from the household power outlet.

When unplugging the power cord, do not pull on the power cord. (Always grasp the power plug when unplugging it.)

When you do not plan to use the AC adaptor for an extended period, unplug the power cord from the household power outlet.

At least once a year, unplug the power cord and use a dry cloth to clean between the power plug pins and remove any buildup of dirt or dust around the pins.

Do not use any detergent when cleaning the power cord (particularly on the power plug and jack).
