You can select measurement of either linear distance (straight-line distance) or surface distance (actual distance).

Surface distance measurements are calculated by taking horizontal travel as well as vertical movement into consideration.

1. Display the current time screen.

2. Press (C).

This enters the Activity Mode.

Example:



3. Use (A) and (D) to select an activity.

4. Press (C).

This displays the GPS signal receive start screen.

5. Press (A) or (D).

This displays the measurement operation ready screen.

6. Hold down (A) for at least two seconds.

This displays the activity measurement setting screen.



7. Use (A) and (D) to move the pointer to [GPS TRACKING].

8. Press (C).

9. Use (A) and (D) to move the pointer to [3D DISTANCE].

10. Press (C).

11. Use (A) and (D) to select a setting.

[ON]	Surface distance measurement
[OFF]	Linear distance measurement

12. Press (C) to complete the setting operation.

After the setting operation is complete, a check mark appears for a few seconds, and then the GPS setting screen re-appears.

13. Press (E) to exit the setting screen.
