If Auto Measurement is selected for the Heart Rate setting of the Heart Rate watch face, the watch will detect your movement as exercise and perform heart rate measurement if the watch is affixed loosely to your wrist or if you are not wearing the watch but carrying it with you as you walk. Proper heart rate measurement is not possible in cases like this, so abnormal values may recorded for the heart rate.
Make sure the watch is affixed correctly to your wrist when performing a heart rate measurement operation. Also, you should change to another type of watch face when not wearing the watch and otherwise not performing a heart rate measurement operation. Or you can select Measurement Off or Continuous Measurement for the Heart Rate Measurement setting and use the watch without heart rate measurement.
