Q24
How do I use the Activity app Auto Pause function?
A24
The watch's Auto Pause function automatically pauses Running and other measurement while you are waiting at a traffic signal, taking a break, or otherwise not running, so your distance and speed are measured only for segments where you are running.
While Auto Pause is enabled, measurement is paused while you are walking or stopped. Tracks on a map are shown only for segments where you are running, and not for segments where you are walking or stopped. The watch assumes you are walking when you are traveling at a speed of about 5 kph or slower. (Speed measurements are subject to measurement error.)
If you want tracks for segments where you are walking to be included on a map, disable Auto Pause. While Auto Pause is disabled, measurement is performed without interruption until you tap STOP. Disable Auto Pause when you want to perform measurement while walking, when you are timing a marathon or other race during which you run and walk, etc. You can use Auto Pause with Running and Cycling.
