If the message "Checking for updates" or "Getting your watch details" remains on the screen, perform the procedure below.
On the phone, use the Wear OS by Google app's home button to close the screen. Next, re-start the Wear OS by Google app and navigated to the next screen.
You also may be able to resolve the problem by tapping the watch display to increase its brightness.
Perform the required operations so the watch's display language and the phone's display language are the same.
(Example: Set the display language for both the watch and the phone to Japanese.)
