Troubleshooting

This section explains reference information that comes in handy when you experience problems with printer operation. If, for any reason, you cannot find the solution to your problem here, contact your original retailer or a CASIO service center.

The LED indicator doesn’t light when I press button_Power.

The AC adaptor is not connected correctly.

Connect the AC adaptor correctly. (Operation Using the AC Adaptor

The AC adaptor used is not the specified AC adaptor.

Use the specified AC adaptor or load new batteries (third party).

The batteries used are depleted or are not the specified type.

Use the specified AC adaptor or load new batteries (third party).

The batteries are not loaded correctly.

Reload the batteries correctly.
Operation Using Batteries
The job finishes normally but nothing is printed.

The tape has run out.

Replace the tape cartridge with a new tape cartridge.

Only blank space was entered.

Enter the text that you want to print.
Printing is not clear.
The printer won’t print clearly.
The printing is too faint.

There is dirt, dust or other soiling on the printer head and rubber roller.

Clean the printer head and rubber roller.
Cleaning

The tape cartridge is not loaded correctly.

Reload the tape cartridge correctly.

The AC adaptor used is not the specified AC adaptor.

Use the specified AC adaptor or load new batteries (third party).

The batteries used are depleted or are not the specified type.

Use the specified AC adaptor or load new batteries (third party).

There is wrinkling due to slack in the ink ribbon.

Wind the ink ribbon tight and reload the tape cartridge correctly. (Installing Tape Cartridges

The print density is wrong.

Adjust the print density in the app. (Changing the Settings
Labels aren’t printed
The printer turned off during printing

The AC adaptor used is not the specified AC adaptor.

Use the specified AC adaptor or load new batteries (third party).

The batteries used are depleted or are not the specified type.

Use the specified AC adaptor or load new batteries (third party).
The ink ribbon is fed out of the tape outlet with the tape.

The tape cartridge was loaded without tightening the ink ribbon.

Remove the tape cartridge. Check that the ink ribbon is not cut and then wind the ribbon tight. Then reload it correctly.
Installing/Removing Tape Cartridges
The LED indicator continuously flashes red.

Printer fault

Contact your original retailer or a CASIO Service Center for replacement.

The tape is wrapped around the rubber roller.

Check the tape cartridge.
No tape is fed out when I try to print.

The cover on the tape cartridge container is not shut properly.

Close the cover firmly.

The tape has run out.

Replace with a new tape (sold separately).

Tape jam

Remove the tape cartridge and pull out the jammed tape with your fingers. Cut off the tape you pulled out with scissors, etc. Then reload the tape cartridge correctly.

Important!

Do not do any of the following during printing:

Block the tape outlet

Touch the tape being fed out

Open the cover of the tape cartridge container

Turn off power.

The AC adaptor used is not the specified AC adaptor.

Use the specified AC adaptor or load new batteries (third party).

The batteries used are depleted or are not the specified type.

Use the specified AC adaptor or load new batteries (third party).
The printer can’t cut the tape.

The tape is jammed in the tape outlet.

Switch the printer off, remove the tape cartridge and clear the jammed tape.

The tape cutter is worn.

Contact your original retailer or a CASIO Service Center for replacement.
Labels don’t stick

The location or the material is not suitable.

Labels will not stick onto rough, gritty, wet, oily or soiled surfaces.
Affixing a Label to a Surface
Label margins too large

The margin is set to “Large” or “Medium”.

Set the margin to “Small”.
(Due to the construction of the printer, there is always a margin at the top of the label during printing.)
The “Printer not connected” error message appears

No printer is selected.

Locate and select a printer.
Launching the App Subsequently
Can’t connect to a smartphone
The “Printer not found” error message appears

The printer is not turned on.

Press button_Power on the printer.

Signal reception is poor.

Move the printer to another location.

The printer is in use.

Try again.

Bluetooth is not enabled on the smartphone.

Select ON in the Bluetooth settings.
Depending on your smartphone, you may need to enable Bluetooth for each app.

Location information is not enabled on the smartphone.

Select ON in the location information settings.
Depending on your smartphone, you may need to enable location information for each app.

None of the above

Turn the printer off and then back on.
