Module No. 5702

Measuring Elapsed Dive Time

Dive time is measured in units of one second up to 1 hour, 59 minutes, 59 seconds (2 hours).

Even if elapsed dive time measurement continues for longer than the maximum dive time of two hours, the hands will continue to move for 24 hours.

  1. Enter the Dive Mode.

  2. The hour hand, minute hand, second hand, and 24-hour hand will all move to 12 o’clock, which indicates that the watch is ready to start dive time measurement.

  3. Press (D).

  4. This starts dive time measurement.

Example: Dive time measurement 5 minutes 26 seconds

The hour and minute hands move together.

  5. Hold down (D) for at least two seconds to stop dive time measurement.

  6. This starts surface interval measurement.

Note

If the watch is in the Dive Mode, loosening the crown and then pulling it out to the first click will cause the current elapsed dive time to be reset to zero.

The period from the point you enter the Dive Mode until you next enter the Calendar Mode is treated as the same dive.

To create a separate log record for a dive such as when repetitive diving, enter the Calendar Mode and then return to the Dive Mode.

If you do not perform any watch operation for about 24 hours after starting dive time measurement, measurement will stop and the hands will return to 12 o’clock.
