When should I use Periodic GPS Auto Correction?

Use this setting to reduce the effects of weather and other factors on altimeter readings when you are not able to correct altitude readings manually over a long period. Altitude correction may not be possible, or correction may not be performed for long periods if GPS reception is unstable.
