The watch's Auto Pause function automatically pauses recording during running and other activities while you are waiting at a traffic signal, taking a break, or otherwise not in motion, so your distance and speed are measured only for segments where you are moving.
Selecting "ON" for "Auto Pause" causes measurement to pause while you are walking or moving at low speed or stopped. Tracks on a map are shown only for segments where you are running, and not for segments where you are walking or stopped.
If you want tracks for segments where you are walking to be included on a map, disable Auto Pause. While Auto Pause is disabled, measurement is performed without interruption until you tap STOP. Disabling Auto Pause lets measurement continue to be performed while you are walking, when you are timing a marathon or other race during which you alternate between running and walking, etc. You can use Auto Pause with Running, Cycling, and other types of activities.
