Training in general and heart rate measurement during training

Q1
Can it be used for any other activities besides running and walking?
A1
Basically, this application was designed for use when running and walking outdoors, but it can be used for heart rate training and training analysis as a part of the following training regimens.

・Indoor running: Heart rate training is possible in training mode. In addition, VO2max is calculated by measuring speed and heart rate based on acceleration.

Acceleration-based speed is corrected based on data collected when running outdoors with GPS, so if your running style is the same as when running outdoors, it will be the same as when you run outside. There is, however, the possibility that your running style will change when using a treadmill or similar apparatus, so accuracy may suffer a little. Training effects, training load, recovery time, and calories burned are calculated based on heart rate information.

・Trail running/trekking: Can be used for pace and course measurements using GPS, as well as heart rate training. However, on hilly courses, running speed and walking speed vary relative to heart rate, so Vo2MAX may vary from that of flat courses.

Training effects, training load, recovery time, and calories burned are calculated based on heart rate information.

・Cardio training other than running (such as exercise bikes): Heart rate training is possible. VO2max is not calculated (updated), but training effects, training load, recovery time, and calories burned are calculated based on heart rate information.

* To improve the accuracy of your training analysis, we recommend regularly running outdoors to measure VO2max.

・Cycling: Can be used for speed and course measurements using GPS, as well as heart rate training. However, since cycling speed is faster than that of running, VO2max. calculations may be elevated.

Training effects, training load, recovery time, and calories burned are calculated based on heart rate information.

* Cannot be used for heart rate training and training analysis purposes when swimming because heart rate measurements cannot be measured accurately.
