Power Requirements

Q2
What is the life of the batteries that come with the camera?
A2
The battery life guideline values given below indicate the approximate amount of time at a standard temperature of 23°C (73°F) until power automatically turns off due to battery failure. They do not guarantee that the batteries will provide the amount of service indicated. Low temperatures and continued use reduce battery life.
Number of Shots (Operating Time) *1 170 shots
Actual movie recording time (HD movie) *1 50 minutes
Approximate continuous movie recording time (HD movies) *1 1 hour 25 minutes
Continuous Voice Recording *2 3 hours 30 minutes
Continuous Playback*3 3 hours 30 minutes

Battery: NP-80 (Rated Capacity: 700mAh)
Recording Medium: 16GB microSDHC memory card (SanDisk Corporation)
Measurement Conditions

*1 In accordance with CIPA (Camera and Imaging Products Association) standards
*2 Approximate continuous recording time
*3 Standard temperature (23°C (73°F)), one-image scroll approximately every 10 seconds

The above values are based a new battery, starting from a full charge.
Repeated charging shortens battery life.
Frequency of flash, zoom, and Auto Focus usage, and the time the camera is on greatly affects recording time and number of shots values.
The maximum size of each movie file is 4GB.
