- Can an image recorded with the camera be used as a startup image?

- Yes. In addition to the built-in special startup images, you can also use images you have recorded. Note, however, that a movie cannot be used as the startup image.
If your current startup image is one that was recorded by you, making a different image your new startup image will cause your current startup image to be deleted from startup screen memory. Also note that formatting the camera's built-in memory will delete your startup image from startup screen memory if it was recorded by you. In both cases, you will not be able to re-use the image deleted from startup screen memory unless you have it saved somewhere else.
Built-in special images are not deleted by changing to a different startup screen image or by formatting memory.
