Q4
What can I do with the All-in-Focus Macro?
A4
The All-in-Focus Macro shoots and analyzes a burst of multiple images and combines them in a way that produces an image in which everything is in focus: from nearby objects to distant objects. Move the camera as close to the subject as possible, and take care to avoid camera movement and subject movement as you shoot.

NOTE
 • After you press the shutter button, the message "Busy... Please wait..." will appear on the monitor screen to let you know that shooting is in progress. Do not move the camera while this message is displayed.
The recording process takes some time to complete after the message appears. Image shooting is disabled while the message is displayed.
 • Flash is turned off automatically.
 • With the All-in-Focus Macro, ISO sensitivity and the ISO High Limit operates according to its "Auto" setting.
These settings cannot be changed while using the All-in-Focus Macro.
 • Face Detection, SR zoom, digital zoom and Make-up are all disabled automatically while the All-in-Focus Macro is being used.
 • Exposuď˝’e is fixed at 0 while the All-in-Focus Macro is being used.
 • The desired All-in-Focus Macro effect may not be attained if the camera or subject moves during shooting.
 • Depending on shooting conditions, image composition, and the subject you are shooting, the All-in-Focus Macro may not be able to produce the desired result.
 • The message "Image merging failed." will appear if the All-in-Focus Macro process cannot be performed for some reason. If this happens, the image will be saved but without the All-in-Focus Macro (everything in focus: from nearby objects to distant objects) applied.
 • Shooting with this function automatically sets Anti-Shake Functions to “Standard”, but large movement of the camera or subject make it impossible to achieve the desired shot.
