BEST SHOT provides a collection of sample scenes that show various types of images. Simply selecting a scene causes the camera to set up automatically with optimal settings for the subject type and conditions shown in the sample scene. See the BEST SHOT Mode List for details about each sample scene. NOTE Selecting a BEST SHOT Mode scene changes the camera's setup to the optimal settings for recording a similar type of scene. However, actual subject and shooting conditions can make it impossible to achieve the desired effect and produce images that are not exactly what you expected.
