What can I do with the Art Shot?

A variety of artistic effects help to make even common, ordinary subjects become more novel and exciting.
Art Shot types and what they do are shown in the table below.


To shoot with Art Shot, set the mode dial to "BS" and then select one of the BEST SHOT scenes described below.

 
Scene Description
Toy Camera
Darkens the periphery and changes hues for a toy camera effect.
Soft Focus Blurs overall focus for a mysteriously soft effect.
Light Tone Weakens contrast to create an elegantly subdued effect.
Pop Strengthens saturation for richer colors.
Sepia Sepia colors are used to create a retro effect.
Monochrome Enhances contrast to create a grainy print effect.
Miniature Blurs some of the focus to make the image look like a miniature.


With Art Shot, you can adjust the intensity of the effect being applied.
Use the procedure below to adjust the Art Shot effect and then shoot the image.
1. On one of the Art Shot screens described above, press the <down> key.
2. Use the <up> and <down> keys to select the fourth control panel option from the top.
    The intensity of the selected effect can be adjusted as described below.

3. Use the <left> and <right> key to change the setting.
4. Press [SET].

NOTE
 •  You cannot view the result of an effect on the camera’s monitor screen while composing the image.
 •  With ART SHOT, the settings below cannot be configured using the “Quality” or “REC” menu.
