Recently, there have been a number of counterfeit rechargeable lithium ion batteries on the market that are similar in design and configuration to batteries for CASIO digital cameras. Since use of a counterfeit battery can cause the serious performance and safety problems described below, use of only genuine CASIO rechargeable lithium ion batteries is strongly recommended. |

• |
Counterfeit batteries may not be equipped with adequate safety circuitry, which creates the risk of bursting, fire, smoke emission, leaking, battery deterioration, and low output. |
• |
Counterfeit batteries may be slightly larger than normal, which makes it impossible to load them into the camera. |
Note that CASIO will not be held liable in any way for any problems with the camera or any accidents caused by the use of a counterfeit CASIO lithium ion battery. |
