Trigonometric Functions

To change the default angle unit (degrees, radians, grads), press the key a number of times until you reach the angle unit setup screen shown below.

Press the number key (, , or ) that corresponds to the angle unit you want to use.
(90° = π/2 radians = 100 grads)

Example 1: sin 30° = 0.5 (Angle unit: Deg)

  • ・・・・・(Deg)

    30
  • 0.5

Example 2: cos(π3) = 0.5 (Angle unit: Rad)

  • ・・・・・(Rad)

    (π)3
  • 0.5

Example 3: tan(-35) = -0.612800788 (Angle unit: Gra)

  • ・・・・・(Gra)

    35
  • -0.612800788

Inverse Trigonometric Functions

Example 1: sin-1 0.5 = 30° (Angle unit: Deg)

  • ・・・・・(Deg)

    (sin-1) 05
  • 30.

Example 2: cos-1 22 = 0.25π (= π4) (Angle unit: Rad)

  • ・・・・・(Rad)

    (cos-1)22
    (π)
  • 0.25

Example 3: tan-1 0.741 = 36.53844577° (Angle unit: Deg)

  • ・・・・・(Deg)

    (tan-1) 0741
  • 36.53844577
