Details of the update using this software
• Added the ability to change the routing of MIDI IN channels 1–5 from Port C to Port A (the parts used for keyboard operation)
• Added the ability to recall setups saved using the registration function using MIDI messages (CASIO General System Exclusive or a combination of Bank Select and Program Change messages)
• Changed the sounding balance for each tone when played via MIDI in or SMF
• Improvements to some operations

Checking Your Version

1. Switch the CT-S500 on.
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Press the < button below the LCD screen.
4. Press the SETTING button below the LCD screen.
5. Press the < button below the LCD screen.
* After the update, “Version 01.06” is displayed.

What You Need

* For the update, you will need a FAT-formatted (FAT32 or exFAT) USB flash drive with a capacity of between 1 GB and 32 GB. USB flash drives in non-FAT formats should first be formatted using the Windows formatting function with FAT specified as the file system. (Note that this excludes quick formatting.)

   End User Software Licensing Agreement
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD.
1 License
CASIO, as the owner of this Software and other intellectual asset rights, grants you the following non-exclusive, non-transferrable, copyright license subject to the terms of this Agreement.
1) You may install and use this Software on your CT-S500.
2) You may make one copy of this Software on a memory card for the purpose of installing the software on your CT-S500.
2 Prohibitions
1) Except as permitted by this Agreement, you may not copy this Software either in part or its entirety.
2) You may not modify, alter, adapt, reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Software.
3) You may not resell, rend, lease, loan, or distribute this Software, or place the Software on a server or make it accessible by means of a network.
4) You may not sublicense or transfer this Software to a third party.
5) You may not use this Software for any unlawful purpose, or in any manner inconsistent with this Agreement.
3 Period of Agreement
1) This Agreement becomes binding as soon as you download the Software.
2) This Agreement becomes null and void when you destroy all of your copies of this Software.
3) CASIO may terminate this license at any time if you are in breach of the terms of this Agreement. Upon termination, you will immediately destroy the all of your copies of this Software.
4 Limitation of Liability
1) This Software is provided "as is," and CASIO makes no express warranty concerning the Software's ability to operate properly or to be free of defects, or concerning the correction of defects in the future, or the suitability of the Software functions for any particular purpose.
2) In no event shall CASIO be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, business interruption, loss of information) arising out of the use of or inability to use this software, even if CASIO has been adviced of the possibility of such damages.
5 Other
1) Items not covered by the Agreement or items that require further negotiation shall be settled by mutual agreement between you and CASIO.
2) Any claim arising under or relating to this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Japan.
3) Any dispute arising under or relating to this Agreement shall come under the jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court.
