Under the current version, Macintosh users sometimes are unable to import images after deleting all images or after deleting a folder. The update fixes this problem.

Faster serial data rates for the Macintosh version of Photo Loader.

Applicable Users

This update is intended for those who are currently using Version 1.002 or lower versions. Use the procedure below to check your firmware version.
     
Important:
Before starting firmware update make sure that the camera is loaded with a fresh set of batteries, or is powered by an A/C power supply Casio model AD-C620. Loss of power during update will crash the camera and make it inoperable. Do not turn power off untill the LCD screen displays message COMPLETE! Perform firmware update at your own risk.

To check your firmware version

     
1. Load the CompactFlash card you normally use for recording images into your QV-3000EX(EX/Ir).
2. While holding down the [SET] key, rotate the power switch to [PLAY]. Keep the [SET] key depressed until something appears on the camera's monitor screen. What you should do next depends on what appears on your camera's monitor screen.

2. If your monitor screen shows "VER1.002" or a normal playback screen without any version information, download the version update provided here and install it on your camera.
If your monitor screen shows "VER1.003," you do not need to install the version update provided here.

Requirements for Installing This Update on Your Camera

When installing this update on your camera, your computer needs to store the update software in the root directory (directly under the drive name) of a CompactFlash card. The update is then installed from the card. This means that you need a computer-camera USB cable or your computer must be equipped with a CompactFlash card slot.
NOTE:
writing of the update software to a CompactFlash card using a serial cable connection is not supported.

1 License
CASIO, as the owner of this Software and other intellectual asset rights, grants you the following non-exclusive, non-transferrable, copyright license subject to the terms of this Agreement.
1) You may install and use this Software on your CASIO QV-3000EX(EX/Ir) Digital Camera.
2) You may make one copy of this Software on a CompactFlash card for the purpose of installing the software on your QV-3000EX(EX/Ir) Digital Camera.
2 Prohibitions
1) Except as permitted by this Agreement, you may not copy this Software either in part or its entirety.
2) You may not modify, alter, adapt, reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Software.
3) You may not resell, rend, lease, loan, or distribute this Software, or place the Software on a server or make it accessible by means of a network.
4) You may not sublicense or transfer this Software to a third party.
5) You may not use this Software for any unlawful purpose, or in any manner inconsistent with this Agreement.
3 Period of Agreement
1) This Agreement becomes binding as soon as you download the Software.
2) This Agreement becomes null and void when you destroy all of your copies of this Software.
3) CASIO may terminate this license at any time if you are in breach of the terms of this Agreement. Upon termination, you will immediately destroy the all of your copies of this Software.
4 Limitation of Liability
1) This Software is provided "as is," and CASIO makes no express warranty concerning the Software's ability to operate properly or to be free of defects, or concerning the correction of defects in the future, or the suitability of the Software functions for any particular purpose.
2) In no event shall CASIO be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, business interruption, loss of information) arising out of the use of or inability to use this software, even if CASIO has been adviced of the possibility of such damages.
5 Other
1) Items not covered by the Agreement or items that require further negotiation shall be settled by mutual agreement between you and CASIO.
2) Any claim arising under or relating to this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Japan.
3) Any dispute arising under or relating to this Agreement shall come under the jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court.
