Wireless Functions

Q1
How do I configure wireless settings?
A1
The first time you establish a wireless connection between the camera and a smartphone, you need to use the procedure below to configure wireless connection settings.

Using a Smartphone that Supports Bluetooth Smart

There are two types of wireless connection: Bluetooth wireless technology connection and wireless LAN connection. With a smartphone that supports Bluetooth Smart, wireless connection settings can be configured by simply establishing a Bluetooth wireless technology connection between the camera and smartphone.(Pairing)
You can pair with up to two cameras.

IMPORTANT!
 • Some smartphone models may not be compatible with this camera.
 • Your camera can be paired with a single smartphone at one time.
 • If you want to re-pair the camera with the smartphone it is already paired with, first unpair them and then pair again.
Re-pairing the camera and smartphone will result in all pending unsent images to remain unsent.

Camera Operation
1. On the controller, touch Show Icons.
2. On thecontroller, touch Wireless mode icon.
This will display the wireless mode screen.
3. On the controller, touch “Pairing”.
4. On the controller, touch  “Start”.
   • You can start pairing by performing an operation on the camera, without using the controller.
In the case of an EX-FR200CA camera, perform the steps below to configure wireless settings.
Ⅰ On the camera, hold down [Power]  for about two seconds to turn off power.
Ⅱ On the camera, hold down [Power] for about six seconds.
The camera’s operation lamp will flash amber.

Phone Operation
5. On the smartphone, start up the EXILIM Connect app.
    • If this is the first time you are starting up EXILIM Connect, a Software End User License Agreement will appear.
Tap “Agree”. This will display a screen that explains app functions.
On the screen, tap “Next” to continue to the text screen. Tapping “Done” at the end will display the top screen.
6. On the smartphone, tap “Pairing”.
The smartphone will display the name of nearby cameras that are available for pairing.
7. On the smartphone, tap the camera's name you want to pair with. This completes pairing of the camera and smartphone, and establishes a Bluetooth wireless technology connection.
    • If your camera does not have a monitor screen, you can find the camera name (SSID) on the sheet that comes packed with it.
    • If the smartphone is already paired with two cameras, a camera selection screen appears.
Select the camera whose pairing you want to overwrite.
    • In the case of an Android terminal, wireless LAN connection settings are also configured automatically.
In this case, advance to step 11 of this procedure.
    • In the case of an iPhone, you need to configure wireless LAN settings (install a profile) next.
Advance to step 8 of this procedure.
8. On the smartphone, tap “Install”.
Follow the instructions that appear on the smartphone to install the profile required for wireless LAN setup.
    • On some smartphone models, the passcode input screen may appear.
If this happens, input your smartphone’s passcode.
9. After installation of the profile is complete, tap “Done” on the smartphone.
10. On the smartphone screen, tap the EXILIM Connect icon.
This establishes a wireless LAN connection between the camera and smartphone.
     • If you are using an iPhone and there is no LAN connection between the camera and smartphone, use the smartphone’s Wi-Fi settings to select the camera’s SSID to establish a wireless LAN connection between the camera and smartphone.
11. On the smartphone, tap “OK”.
12. Follow the instructions that appear on the smartphone to complete the pairing operation.

NOTE

 • If you are unable to establish a Bluetooth Smart connection, turn the camera off and then back on again.
Next, perform the above procedure from step 1 again.

Using a Smartphone that does not Support Bluetooth Smart
