General Performance, Recording Conditions, Memory Card
- Q2
- Is initial Bluetooth pairing between the camera and controller necessary for operation?
- A2
- It depends on whether your camera model is EX-FR200 (not required) or EX-FR200CA (required).
EX-FR200 Camera
The camera and controller come to you pre-paired at the factory, so initial pairing is not required and they should connect with each other automatically using Bluetooth wireless technology whenever you turn them on.
However, after having the camera repaired or serviced, you may need to re-pair the camera and controller in order to establish a connection between them. In this case, hold down the shutter button on the camera and controller as you hold down the power button on the camera and controller for about six seconds. This will start the pairing operation required for Bluetooth connection.
You can pair (Bluetooth) an EX-FR200CA camera with a separately available controller and then use the controller to perform camera operations.
Procedure
1. Remove the memory card from the camera.
2. While holding down the camera shutter button, hold down the power button for at least one second.
This will cause the camera's operation lamp to flash amber.
3. While holding down the controller shutter button, hold down its power button for at least six seconds.
The operation lamp on the controller will flash amber, and then the pairing operation required for Bluetooth connection will start.
When registration is successful, the camera's date and time setting screen will appear on the controller.
IMPORTANT!
• Your camera has Bluetooth wireless technology communication functionality built in. Avoid operating the camera (including camera standalone operations) inside of aircraft or anywhere else where wireless data communication is restricted.
NOTE
• After having the camera repaired or serviced, you may need to re-pair the camera and controller in order to establish a connection between them.
If you do, perform the EX-FR200CA procedure above to re-pair.
This starts the pairing operation required for Bluetooth wireless technology connection.
