The first time you establish a wireless connection between the camera and a smartphone, you need to use the procedure below to configure wireless connection settings.

Using a Smartphone that Supports Bluetooth Smart

There are two types of wireless connection: Bluetooth wireless technology connection and wireless LAN connection. With a smartphone that supports Bluetooth Smart, wireless connection settings can be configured by simply establishing a Bluetooth wireless technology connection between the camera and smartphone.

    • In the case of an Android terminal, wireless LAN connection settings are also configured automatically.
In this case, advance to step 11 of this procedure.
    • In the case of an iPhone, you need to configure wireless LAN settings (install a profile) next.
Advance to step 8 of this procedure.
8. On the smartphone, tap “Install”.
Follow the instructions that appear on the smartphone to install the profile required for wireless LAN setup.
    • On some smartphone models, the passcode input screen may appear.
If this happens, input your smartphone’s passcode.
9. After installation of the profile is complete, tap “Done” on the smartphone.
10. On the smartphone screen, tap the EXILIM Connect icon.
This establishes a wireless LAN connection between the camera and smartphone.

11. On the smartphone, tap “OK”.

NOTE
 • If you are unable to establish a Bluetooth Smart connection, turn the camera off and then back on again.

Precautions:
Auto Power Off is disabled while the camera in the sleep state, which runs down the battery.
Be sure to turn off the camera when you are not using it.
Holding down the power button will cause the operation lamp to go out, indicating that the camera is turned off.
