Wireless LAN Functions

Q2
Can I change the camera password for wireless LAN connection?
A2
With firmware version 2.0 or higher, you will need to perform the procedure below to change the SSID and password the first time you establish a wireless connection between the camera and a smartphone. At the time of purchase, the default SSID and password settings are the same for all models. Using this model without changing the SSID and password may result in mistaken connections with other devices in the same location as well as allow others access to private information such as images.
To protect your personal information, it is recommended that you change the password of a wireless LAN connection after you purchase it.
• This step is required only once when you use this unit for the first time.

Procedure
1. On the camera, enter the REC mode.
2. On the controller, display the home screen and then tap “Wireless LAN icon”.
This will enable connection with a smartphone.
   • While the camera is connected with a smartphone, its shutter button and [Movie] button are disabled.

4. On your smartphone, start up the EXILIM Link app.
5. On the smartphone, tap “Connection Starting”.

6. On the smartphone screen, tap the "Wireless LAN icon".
7. Enter the new SSID and password.
   • For the SSID and password, enter from eight to 32 single-byte characters and symbols.
