The name "Android Wear" will be changed to "Wear OS by Google".
Regarding to the name change of phone app “Android Wear” to “Wear OS by Google”, the app will be updated and its icon will be renewed as well.

For Android Phone Users
＜If auto-update is enabled on smartphone＞
“Android Wear” will be automatically updated to “Wear OS by Google”.
＜If auto-update is not enabled on smartphone＞
Update “Android Wear” on Google Play.
Update will be available stepwise for each smartphone.
Therefore, it might take 2~3 weeks for every smartphone to be ready for the update.
Please wait for several days if update is unavailable.
For iPhone Users
＜If auto-download is enabled on iPhone＞
“Android Wear” will be automatically updated to “Wear OS by Google”.
＜ If auto-download is not enabled on iPhone＞
Update “Android Wear” on App Store.
Update will be available stepwise for each smartphone.
