What you can do with Pool Swimming, auto distance recording, etc.

Touch Panel Disabled

With the Pool Swimming Activity, touch panel operation is disabled because the activity is conduced in water.

Use buttons to perform the operations below.

To start Pool Swimming

1. STEP1Select the Pool Swimming item and then press the upper (START) button.

2. STEP2Next, When you are ready to swim, press the upper (GO!) button again.

3. STEP3This enters the Pool Swimming recording mode, so you can start swimming.

To exit Pool Swimming

After you get out of the pool while the above Pool Swimming recording operation is in progress, press the upper button to pause recording.
Next, hold down the lower (APP) button for at least two seconds to stop Pool Swimming recording.
Either save or discard the recorded data as desired.

Auto-detection

• This function automatically detects your swimming stroke (front crawl, breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly), so you can view stroke-specific records.
• While you are swimming, the watch detects your stroke and turns, and automatically calculates and displays the distance you swim.

This function calculates the distance you swim based on the pool length.
Because of this, you first need to specify the correct length of the pool where you are swimming.
An incorrect pool length setting and differences between the abilities of individual swimmers can cause incorrect distances to be displayed.

Use the steps below to specify the pool length.

1. STEP1Before starting your swim, select the Pool Swimming Activity, and then tap the button in the lower display area.

2. STEP2Tap Settings.

3. STEP3Scroll the screen until Pool Length is displayed, and then tap it.

4. STEP4Select the option for the actual pool length.
