Using Ski/Snowboarding (Repeat and Run Detection)

For skiing and snowboarding, you can record data for each ride.

Batch Recording Multiple Runs

There are not many times while skiing and snowboarding when you make only a single run. In most cases, you make several runs during a day.

Perform the operations below.

Starting and Stopping for Each Run

  1. STEP1Select the Ski or Snowboarding Activity, and then press the upper (START) button to start.
This enters the standby state without performing any measurement at this time.
Leave the watch in this state when preparing to make a run and while on the lift.

    1. AAfter you finish your preparation, press the upper (GO!) button again right before you start your run.
This start run recording, so you can start your run.
    2. BWhen you reach the end of your run, press the upper (PAUSE) button.

For each run, repeat steps A and B.

  2. STEP2While the watch is in the standby state at the end of your final run of the day, hold down the lower (STOP) button for at least two seconds.
Next, press the upper button to complete the data storage operation. By performing these steps, you can record multiple runs in a single record.

Having Runs Detected Automatically

The above procedure records each run manually.
The watch can also automatically detect when you start a run and record it.

This function records data based on your speed.
Because of this, certain conditions may cause detection errors. To ensure more accurate detection and recording.

Perform the steps below to enable Auto Slide Detection.

  1. STEP1Before starting your run, select the Skiing or Snowboarding Activity, and then tap the button in the lower display area.

  2. STEP2Tap Settings.

  3. STEP3Scroll the screen until Auto Slide Detection is displayed, and then tap it.

  4. STEP4On the screen that appears, select ON for the Auto Slide Detection setting, and then tap the check mark button.

This enables Auto Slide Detection. Press the upper button to start, and then start your run.
Now the watch automatically creates separate records of multiple runs.
