Operating System Compatibility - Microsoft Windows Vista

Running as an Administrator

Due to compatibility issues between Windows XP and Windows Vista, you may need to run the program as an administrator.
If this happens, perform the following procedure.

* The following shows an example using Music Data Management Software (IDES) for musical instruments.

1. If the program's icon is on the Windows start menu or desktop, right-click it. On the shortcut menu that appears, select "Properties".
If the program's icon is not on the Windows start menu or desktop, navigate to the location where the program is installed and then right-click it. In this case, check the drive, path, and file name to make sure you are right-clicking the correct program.

2. On the Properties dialog box that appears, select the "Compatibility" tab.
Under "Privilege Level", select the check box next to "Run this program as an administrator" and then click [OK] to close the Properties dialog box.

* Configuring this setting will cause the User Account Control (UAC) screen to appear when the program is started up.
When this happens, check the program to be run (DataManager.exe, in this example) and then select "Allow".
