When things don't go right...

Q2
Why doesn't anything appears on the monitor screen for a while after I turn on camera and controller power?
A2
If you press the controller power button or if you do not perform any controller operation for the time specified by the "Sleep" setting on the SET UP menu* while there is a Bluetooth wireless technology connection between the camera and controller, the controller image will go blank, and the controller will enter a sleep state. After about five seconds, the camera will also enter a sleep state if no operation is performed. The operation lamp slowly flashes green while the camera is in the sleep mode. To restore the controller display, press the controller button. The Bluetooth wireless technology connection between the camera and controller is maintained even while they are in the sleep mode, so they can quickly recover when you press a button.

* You can specify either 30 seconds, 1 minute or 5 minutes.

NOTE
• Turning off controller power does not turn off camera power.
Turning off the camera turns off controller power.
• Pressing the controller's shutter button causes both the camera and the controller to exit the sleep mode.
• The operation lamps of both the camera and the controller flash while they are in the sleep mode.
Note that battery power consumed in the sleep mode. Turn off the controller and camera when they are not in use.
• To protect against operation errors, be sure to turn off both the camera and the controller when transporting them.
• In areas where radio signal communication is prohibited or restricted, turn off both the camera and controller.
Do not leave them in the sleep mode.
• During an Interval Snapshot operation, pressing any controller button will exit the sleep mode and display the monitoring screen.
• If you press the camera's shutter key while it is in the sleep mode and then press the camera's power button to turn off power, the camera's operation lamp will flash. When this happens, press the camera's power button to start it up, and then press the power button again to turn off power.
