Why doesn't the number of remaining images shown on the monitor screen get smaller even though I record images?

The number of remaining images on the monitor screen is calculated based on the expected file size the image quality setting you are using. Certain conditions, such as the type of subject you shoot, can result in a smaller file size than what was expected. When that happens, the displayed number of remaining images may not change when you shoot an image.
