Are you operating the camera from a remote location?
(Remote Capture)

You can use the procedure below to shoot a self-portrait by operating the camera from a slightly remote location.
You also can perform remote zoom, self-timer, and other operations as well.

Procedure
1. If the camera is on, hold down [Power] to turn it off.
2. On the camera, hold down [Movie] as you hold down [Power] until the camera’s operation lamp flashes green.
3. On your smartphone, start up the EXILIM Link app.
4. On the smartphone, tap “Connection Starting”.
   This will connect the smartphone to the camera, which is indicated by the camera’s operation lamp lighting green.
    • If this is the first time you started up the app, its terms of use will appear on the smartphone screen.
      Read the terms and then tap “Agree”.
5. On the phone, tap the "Remote Capture icon".
6. Compose the image on your smartphone's screen as you shoot.
    • After you are finished using Remote Capture, exit the app on your smartphone.

NOTE
*1 To use this function, you need to have the EXILIM Link app installed on your phone.
     • Note that use of EXILIM Remote is not supported.

EXILIM Link supports the remote capture operations listed below.
 • Use of the recording modes below
   Auto, Toy Camera, Soft Focus, Light Tone, Sepia, Monochrome
 • Horizontal flipping of the screen image
 • Self-timer for snapshot or movie shooting
   The Remote Capture self-timer countdown time is 5 seconds (fixed).
 • Make-up on/off for snapshot shooting
 • Image size specification (14M, 16:9, 5M) for snapshot shooting
 • EV shift and white balance settings for snapshot shooting
 • Checking the shooting range
 • Changing the zoom factor
 • Switching between snapshot and movie shooting
 • Simultaneous transfer of snapshots to a smartphone as they are recorded (while "On" is selected for the "Synchronous Save" setting on the "Setting" tab.
   Sending movies is not supported.

IMPORTANT!
 • Auto Power Off is disabled while a Remote Capture operation is in progress.
   Take care to make sure the battery is sufficiently charged.
 • The controller cannot be used while wireless LAN (Wi-Fi communication) functions are being used.
 • Simultaneous Remote Capture with the same camera by multiple smartphones is not supported.
 • Simultaneous Remote Capture with multiple cameras operated by the same smartphone is not supported.
