Establishing a wireless LAN connection between the camera and a smartphone enables the functions described below.
Remote Capture*1,*2 : Remotely control and shoot with the camera using a smartphone.
Quick Send*1,*2,*3 : You can send a snapshot or movie displayed in the PLAY mode to a smartphone.
Send to phone*1,*2,*3 : Send snapshots and movies recorded with your camera to your smartphone.
View on phone : Use a smartphone or computer to view and download snapshots stored in camera memory.
*1 To use any of these functions, you need to install the EXILIM Remote Version 2.0 app on your smartphone.
• Some functions are not supported by EXILIM Remote Version 1.
*2 Sending an image to a smartphone does not affect the image in camera memory.
*3 After sending an image to a smartphone using "Quick Send" or "Send to phone", you can upload the image to a social networking service (SNS). To have an image uploaded to a social networking service after it is sent to a smartphone, select "On" for the "Send to SNS" setting on the "SETTING" screen of the EXILIM Remote app.
IMPORTANT!
• Never use wireless LAN functions inside an aircraft or anywhere else where such operation is restricted.
• This camera can be used as an access point only.
It cannot be used as a client.
Access Point:
This camera functions as an access point that allows it to be connected over a wireless connection to a smartphone or a computer, without going through a router, etc.
NOTE
• Note that using wireless LAN functions requires more battery power usage than normal.
Make sure that the camera battery is sufficiently charged before starting a wireless LAN operation.
