When things don't go right...

- The LED indicator of the camera fails to light or goes out when I try to charge the battery.

- Charging the camera's battery using the supplied USB-AC adaptor or the USB cable (for connection to a computer's USB port) should cause the LED indicator of the camera to light, indicating that charging has started.
The LED indicator of the camera will go out after charging is complete.
The following reasons can cause failure of the LED indicator to light or the LED indicator to light and immediately go out.
1 The LED indicator does not light. • The USB cable is not connected correctly to the USB-AC adaptor or to the computer. • The USB cable is not connected correctly to the camera.
Plug in the USB cable so the arrow mark on the cable's connector is on the same side as the front of the camera (the lens side).
2 The LED indicator lights and then immediately goes out.
Charging time (the time the LED indicator remains lit) depends on the battery charge level, charging conditions, and other factors. Inability to charge a battery could mean that the battery or the charger is defective.
