- Why do subjects in my images have red eyes even though I use Red Eye Reduction?

- Though the pre-flash operation of Red Eye Reduction normally eliminates red eye, the following conditions can still result in red eye occurring even when Red Eye Reduction is used.
• When a subject is too far from the camera (Light of the pre-flash operation does not reach the subject's eyes). • When the subject is not looking in the direction of the flash (Subject must be looking towards the flash for the pre-flash to have any effect).
