- Why doesn't the camera turn on when I press the REC button?

- The power on feature of the REC button is disabled under initial camera default settings.
You can change this setting and enable power on, if you want. Note, however, that the camera can turn on unintentionally when REC/PLAY button power on is enabled if the buttons are pressed while you are carrying the camera in a bag, etc.
NOTE
• The PLAY button will always turn on power when pressed.
