When things don't go right...

Q36
The image is out of focus during movie recording.
A36
1) Focusing may not be possible because the subject is outside the focus range.
    Shoot within the allowable range.
2) Is the lens dirty?
If the lens is dirty, clean it using a blower to blow off dust or foreign matter, and then wipe with a soft,
    dry cloth.

3) A subject in the background or a moving subject can make AF tracking impossible, causing
    momentary loss of focus.
4) If there is a sudden change in the distance between the camera and subject while shooting,
the image may go out of focus or it may take some time to adjust to proper focus.

   NOTE
Never touch the lens or flash window with your fingers. Finger smudges, dirt, and other foreign matter
on the lens or flash window can interfere with proper operation of the camera. Use a blower or other
means to keep the lens and flash window free of dirt and dust, and wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth.
