Make sure that the Wi-Fi function of the smartphone or tablet is
turned on. |
• |
If you are unable to establish a wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) connection between
the smartphone and camera,it may mean there is already one of the wireless
connections below.
Re-establish the wireless LAN connection using the camera’s SSID and password.
- Household wireless LAN
- Public wireless LAN
- Portable wireless LAN device |
• |
You may experience problems establishing a connection with your camera
if the smartphone you are using is set up for automatic switching of Wi-Fi
connections (auto network switching). If this is the problem, change your
smartphone's Wi-Fi settings. |
• |
Delete the camera SSID from the smartphone Wi-Fi settings, and then re-input
it along with the requied password. |
• |
If you have changed to another camera from the one connected to the smartphone,
preform one of the operations below.
- iPhone(iOS): Use iPhone settings to delete the profile (wireless LAN
connection settings) of the previous camera. Next, configure wireless connection settings for the camera you want to connect to the smartphone.
- Android terminal: Use the smartphone Wi-Fi settings to delete the SSID
of the previous camera. Next, configure wireless connection settings for the camera you want to connect to the smartphone. |
• |
Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) is disabled while the camera is in the Airplane Mode.
Exit the Airplane Mode. |
• |
Move the camera so it is very close to the smartphone, or other device
being connected to. Too much distance between the camera and the other
device may make connection impossible because the signal cannot reach it. |
• |
Connection may have been lost due to interference caused by a nearby microwave
oven, cordless phone, or other wireless LAN device. Move the camera away
from the device causing the problem. |
• |
Attempting to use a memory card that includes a wireless function can cause
interference and abnormal operation. |
• |
The Wi-Fi antenna is located at the bottom of the camera. Make sure it
is not covered or blocked by metal, etc. |
• |
Check to make sure that the connected wireless devices is IEEE 802.11b/g/n
standard. |
• |
If you have sent the camera in for repair, note that some repair procedures
result in the SSID and/or password being changed. If this happens, you
will need to reconfigure SSID and password settings. |
|
|
IMPORTANT! |
• |
Never use wireless LAN functions inside an aircraft or anywhere else where
such operation is restricted. |
|
|
NOTE |
• |
Note that using wireless LAN functions requires more battery power usage than normal.
Make sure that the camera battery is sufficiently charged before starting a wireless LAN operation. |
