Subjects are too dark when shooting images in a seashore or ski area.

Sunlight reflected by water, sand, or snow, can cause underexposure of images. Try the shooting techniques below when underexposure occurs.

• Shooting with Premium Auto PRO.
  Set the mode dial to "Premium Auto PRO".


• Turn on the flash.
  Procedure
  REC mode -> [SET] -> "Flash Mode" -> "Flash On" -> [SET]

• Increase the Exposure value. Note, however, that a higher EV shift value also results in a brighter background.
  Procedure
  REC mode -> [MENU] -> REC MENU Tab -> Exposure -> Press right key to increase -> [SET]
