Q1
What is the difference between the "Anti-Shake Functions" menu item and the "HS Anti Shake" BEST SHOT scene?
A1

The "Anti-Shake Functions" menu item performs optical anti shake correction for camera movement by shifting a correcting lens.
The "High Speed Anti Shake" scene, on the other hand, performs both optical anti-shake correction and also automatically merges a burst of multiple images into a final image. This makes it possible to shoot with minimal image blur due to camera movement, even when shooting conditions are too dark or when the zoom factor you are using is too high to use Lens Shift Stabilization.

NOTE
When "Program Auto", "Premium Auto PRO", "A mode", "S mode", "M mode" or "HS Anti Shake" is selected as therecording mode, "Standard" or "Strong" can be selected for the "Anti-Shake Functions" setting. The "Strong" setting minimizes the effects of camera and subject movement, but it also results in more digital noise in the image. When shooting with any other mode, the "Standard" setting is used automatically.
When shooting with The BEST SHOT "HS Anti Shake" scene, the “ISO Sensitivity” and “ISO High Limit” are fixed at “Auto”.
