What can I do with the Art Shot?

A variety of artistic effects help to make even common, ordinary subjects become more novel and exciting.
Art Shot types and what they do are shown in the table below.
You can record a movie by simply pressing the movie button.


To shoot with Art Shot, select one of scenes described below.

 
Scene Description Adjustment
HDR Art Applies HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography to transform snapshots and movies into works of art that provide a greater degree of expression than conventional imaging. Art Effect
Toy Camera
Darkens the periphery and changes hues for a toy camera effect.
Color Type
Soft Focus Blurs overall focus for a mysteriously soft effect. Art Effect
Light Tone Weakens contrast to create an elegantly subdued effect. Color
Pop Strengthens saturation for richer colors. Art Effect
Sepia Sepia colors are used to create a retro effect. Art Effect
Monochrome Enhances contrast to create a grainy print effect. Art Effect
Miniature Blurs some of the focus to make the image look like a miniature. Position
Fisheye Humorous effect that looks like it was shot with a fisheye lens. Art Effect


NOTE
 •  When HDR Art is selected, you cannot view the result of an effect on the camera's monitor screen while 
    composing a snapshot image.
 •  Depending on the ART SHOT scenes, some of the items on the menu that appears may not be usable.
 •  With this ART SHOT scene, the flash setting automatically becomes off.
 •  With HDR Art Movie, the “Movie Quality” setting can be either “HD” or “STD” only. When any 
    “Movie Quality” setting other than “STD” is selected in another mode, the “HD” setting is used
     when shooting with HDR Art Movie.
