The camera has an Auto Macro function.
When you are using Auto Focus, the camera will switch automatically to the Macro mode range when proper focusing is not possible because the subject is closer than the Auto Focus range.
When you are using the Macro mode, the camera will switch automatically to the Auto Focus range when proper focusing is not possible because the subject is further than the Macro range.
* Depending on the distance to the subject, selecting the proper focus mode can make the AF speed faster.
