Snap shot

Q27
Why can't I get exactly the shot I want with Lag Correction?
A27
Perform the following steps to use Lag Correction.

1. Half-press the shutter button to focus the image. Keep the shutter button pressed half way down.
Lag Correction will not be able to record properly if you do not keep the shutter button half-pressed
    long enough (about 0.4 seconds).
2. Press the shutter button the rest of the way down when the instance you want to shoot occurs.
3. The camera will temporarily pre-record five images: one of the moment when you full-pressed the
shutter button, and four of the moments 0.1 second, 0.2 second, 0.3 second, and 0.4 second before
    you full-pressed the shutter button.
4. For three seconds, the monitor screen will show one of the five pre-recorded images. During this three-
second period, you can view and select one of the five pre-recorded images (by pressing [SET]).

If you do not press [SET] within three seconds, the displayed image will be saved as the final image
automatically, and the other four images will be deleted.
5. While the message "[SET] View others." is on the display, you can press [SET] to view the five pre-
recorded images. (Pressing [SET] will cause the five images to scroll on the monitor screen.)*
6. When the image you want to keep is on the monitor screen, press the [SET] button to save it as the
final image. This will cause the other four images to be deleted.

* The timing of the image you select here will be the timing of the image displayed first in step 4 the next
time you perform the above procedure. If you select the image that was pre-recorded 0.3 seconds prior
to full-press of the shutter button, for example, the 0.3-second image will be displayed in step 4 the next
time you perform the above procedure.

NOTE
• The self-timer is disabled when shooting with Lag Correction.
• The current “Review” setting is ignored when shooting with this function.
Immediately after you full-press the shutter button, one of the five prerecorded
images will appear on the display as in step 4 of the above procedure.
