When shooting with Premium Auto PRO, the camera analyzes shooting conditions and selects the required functions and settings automatically. Focus mode, AF area, and other settings cannot be changed.
Also note that settings cannot be changed by you when shooting with some BEST SHOT scenes.
If you want to configure settings manually, change the recording mode to Program Auto.
Also, the AF focus mode is always used (and cannot be changed) while face detection is enabled.
To use the camera's current focus mode setting, disable face detection.
