- Is battery charging over connection with a computer's USB port supported?

- Yes. With the camera turned off, use the USB cable to connect it to a computer's USB port.
The camera's back lamp will light red. After a short while, the camera will turn on automatically and the back lamp will light amber to indicate that charging has started. The back lamp will light green when charging is complete.
NOTE
• A battery that has not been used for a long time, certain types of computers, and certain connection
conditions can cause charging to take longer than normal. If charging takes longer than about six hours,
a timer will terminate it automatically, even if the battery is not fully charged.
If this happens, disconnect the USB cable from the camera and then reconnect it to restart charging.
For faster charging, use of the USB-AC adaptor that comes with the camera is recommended.
• Depending on the setup of your computer, you may not be able to charge the camera's battery over
a USB connection. If this happens, use of the USB-AC adaptor that comes with the camera isrecommended.
