- Can Auto Focus be used during movie recording?

- A focus operation is performed immediately after the movie button is pressed. Focus is fixed thereafter.
Because of this, the subject will not be in focus if the focus distance from the subject changes while recording is in progress. The focus range is the same as that for snapshots.
NOTE
• With Prerecord Movie, a focus operation is not performed when you press the movie button to start real-time recording. However, you can perform a focus operation by half-pressing the shutter button. Next, wait for at least four seconds (so images can be prerecorded) before pressing the movie button. • If you record a snapshot during movie recording (Snapshot In Movie), fully pressing the shutter button performs the Auto Focus operation again. At this time the movie focus position is also changed to the snapshot focus position.
