When things don't go right...

- Though available lighting is bright, the faces of people in the image are dark.

- Not enough light is reaching the subjects.
If this is the cause of the problem, the following may help to improve the image.
• Use BEST SHOT scene 25 Backlight Mode.
Procedure
Align the mode dial with “BS” (BEST SHOT)
[SET] "BS" [SET] select "25 Backlight" [SET]
• Turn on the flash.

REC mode [SET] "Flash Mode" "Flash On" [SET]
• Increase the EV shift value. Note, however, that a higher EV shift value also results
in a brighter background.
