- Why doesn't anything happen when I press the REC or PLAY button while the camera is turned off?

- The power on feature of the REC and PLAY buttons is disabled under initial camera default settings.
You can change this setting and enable power on, if you want. Note, however, that the camera can turn on unintentionally when REC/PLAY button power is enabled if the buttons are pressed while you are carrying the camera in a bag, etc.
