REC Mode/Recording Techniques

Q5 What is the difference between portrait recording and landscape recording?
A5 Portrait recording uses a very wide aperture and a fast shutter speed, which focuses on the foreground subject and blurs the background. Recording in dimly lit areas can result in loss of the portrait effect because the aperture setting is already wide, due to the lack of light. In the case of landscape recording, minimum aperture and a slow shutter speed maximize the depth of field. Recording in brightly lit areas can result in loss of the landscape effect because the aperture setting is already small, due to the abundance of light.
